FiiP started with author contests, creative challenges, and the idea of giving writers another way to put their work in front of people. That original mission still matters, but the direction is growing. After watching what authors need most, and what readers actually respond to, FiiP is shifting into something more focused, more useful, and hopefully much more exciting.
The new direction is simple: FiiP is becoming a place where readers discover books and authors find their audience.
Small but Big
That may sound like a small shift, but it changes the purpose of the entire site. Instead of focusing mainly on contests, FiiP will now lean toward book discovery, reader connection, author features, book promotions, special offers, and opportunities for readers to find stories they may not have discovered otherwise. In other words, we want to help good books get noticed.
For readers, this means FiiP will become a place to find fresh stories, hidden gems, featured authors, free and bargain books, and occasional opportunities to read books early. If you love discovering new authors before everyone else catches on, this is where things are headed. The newsletter will be built around helping readers find books worth reading, not just sending another random email into an already crowded inbox.
For Authors
For authors, this pivot is about visibility. One of the biggest challenges for any writer is not just writing the book, publishing the book, or even creating a beautiful cover. The real challenge is getting that book in front of the right readers. FiiP is being rebuilt with that goal in mind. The long-term plan is to create a reader-focused platform where authors can apply to be featured and eventually promote their books to an audience that is actually interested in discovering new reads.
Right now, selected FiiP author features are free while the reader list grows. That is important. We are still building the audience, testing what readers click, learning what works, and shaping FiiP into something useful for both sides of the book world. Eventually, author features will become a paid promotional service, but for now, this is the early stage, the “let’s build something worth building” stage.
Free Author Guide and More
The free author guide is also still available. Many people originally found FiiP because of that guide, and it is still helping authors think more clearly about their book marketing. It has received wonderful feedback, including a 4.7 average rating on Amazon. If you missed it, or if you simply want to grab it again, the link is still available below.
There is also a bonus opportunity for readers. My upcoming thriller, Zero Exposure, is available to ARC readers completely free. ARC readers get an early copy before release and have the chance to leave an honest review. So what is FiiP becoming?
It is becoming a bridge.
A bridge between readers looking for their next favorite book and authors trying to find the people who will care about their work. And a bridge between indie books and the readers who love discovering something new. Also a bridge between creative people who write stories and curious people who want to read them.
That is the heart of the pivot.
Started With Contests
FiiP started with contests, but the mission is growing. We are moving toward book discovery, connecting readers with fresh stories, featured authors, and books worth finding. The goal is not just to build a bigger website. The goal is to build a useful one.
If you are a reader, stay with us. The books are coming.
If you are an author, keep an eye on FiiP. The feature opportunities are beginning.
And if you are both an author and a reader, congratulations, you may be exactly the kind of person FiiP was built for.
Join the FiiP newsletter, follow the updates, and help us turn the page into this next chapter.
