Spirit Walker: Rise of Akio

By: George Thorne

Akio loses everything in a single day. His parents are taken from him, his home disappears, and he is kidnapped by the Empire responsible for destroying his life.

Raised in darkness and taught that mercy is weakness, Akio becomes a loyal fighter who knows nothing beyond obedience. But when he is ordered to take an innocent life, something inside him refuses. That single act of compassion costs him the only world he has ever known.

Branded a traitor and forced to run, Akio finds friendship, sacrifice and a family he never expected. Guided by ancient spirits and haunted by a past he cannot remember, he must decide whether the darkness that raised him will define the man he becomes.
