Our Story
Several of us behind FiiP are published authors, so we understand the strange mix of excitement and frustration that comes with launching a book. You pour yourself into the writing, editing, cover design, formatting, and release day, then you watch your book enter a crowded marketplace where visibility is hard to earn and even harder to keep.
FiiP is a practical home for indie authors and readers. Our goal is to help independent authors get discovered, share useful book marketing ideas, spotlight creative work, and provide honest, helpful resources for writers who are trying to build something that lasts.
FiiP was created by Kirk Voclain, a published author and professional photographer with more than forty-five years of experience in the creative industry. After decades of helping people stand out through photography, Kirk saw the same challenge facing indie authors: great work often goes unnoticed simply because people do not know where to find it.
FiiP exists to help change that. Here, readers can discover indie books worth their attention, and authors can find practical guidance, real-world publishing lessons, marketing ideas, spotlight opportunities, and encouragement from people who understand the journey. We believe indie authors deserve more than expensive promises and complicated systems. They deserve useful information, honest support, and a place where their work has a better chance to be seen.
FiiP is about helping authors grow, helping readers discover new stories, and building a community where independent creativity has room to breathe.
